Including songs from his latest album, the set list will feature songs from his second and third solo album that will be performed for the first time in Japan. It will also include legendary anthems from The Verve, making it one of a kind, intertwining through Ashcroft's past, present, and future.

NME Japan's second branded event features UK's rock legend and lead singer of The Verve, Richard Ashcroft. In support of his latest album (released May 20th) Ashcroft will have his solo Japan tour for the first time in 16 years.
Born in Wigan, 1971, Richard Ashcroft was the lead singer of the The Verve from their formation in 1990. While undergoing two reformations in 1997 and 2007, Ashcroft was an active member of the band until their split in 2009. The Verve has released 4 albums, "A Storm In Heaven" (1993), "A Northern Soul" (1995), "Urban Hymns" (1997), and "FORTH" (2008). Their third album, "Urban Hymns" included the hit single, "Bitter Sweet Symphony" which led the album to a great success, selling over 7 million copies worldwide.
Meanwhile, Ashcroft released his solo debut album "Alone With Everybody" in 2000. The album reached number 1 and received platinum status in the UK. He went on to release his second album, Human Conditions in 2002 which reached number 3 in the UK Album Chart. In 2006, he released his third album "Keys To The World" which reached number 2 and yet another platinum status in the UK.
In 2010, he formed the band RPA & The United Nations of Sound and relased the album "The United Nations Of Sound".
